Another day another set of whitening strips

Oh noes! I missed an update!

Sorry, I was unable to get to a computer with internet for the eighth day. Don't worry, however, because day nine is here with new pictures of my teeths. :)

On the Seventh Day, I did not rest!

I may or may not have eaten cinnamon rolls just prior to this picture....

And on the Fifth Day...

I feel like my teeth ARE noticeably whiter. You be the judge.

In addition, I've noticed that where the strips do touch my gums, the very little that they do, my gums are becoming a bit sensitive to the strips and it's a little uncomfortable. I'm glad this is only for two weeks.

Day Four


Two things need to be noted:

1. I do not use a whitening toothpaste, so any whitening that happens is all because of Listerine.

2. The Listerine Whitening Pre-brush Rinse says that it only shows results after a whopping 12 WEEKS. For my purposes, however, I am only using it to supplement the Listerine Whitening Dissolving Strips. I'll continue to use it after my 2 weeks is completed, but not for the full 12 weeks.
-Each bottle contains approximately 32 days worth of fluid, and I don't know if another bottle would be worth it--since it does take so long to even show results.

Day 3

Day 3 has come and gone without much change. I can't really expect noticeable differences just yet however.

Day TWO - No noticible Change

I guess I should make a note that I am not changing my eating or drinking habits for any of this. If the whitening products can't work with me living a normal lifestyle, then they're not worth the money.

So here are my pictures of me this morning. I've just gotten up and have not yet done anything for day two. I can't see any real change--yet. Listerine says it takes about one week.

DAY ONE - Starting Strong

I started this morning, my two week trial of two Listerine Whitening products working together.

I begin by using 15ml of the Listering Whitening Rinse, for the full 60 seconds, of course. I then brush my teeth, followed immediately by applying the Listerine Whitening dissolving strips.

I rather like that these dissolve, unlike the other brands. It does, however, make my teeth feel icky.

Listerine says that the strips are totally dissolved after 5 to 10 minutes. Just to be safe, however, I wait 20 minutes before brushing my teeth with just water--which, according to the directions, is just fine.

Do Listerine Whitening Products Work?

My Goal:





To determine through personal trial the effectiveness of using both Listerine Whitening Pre-brush Rinse AND Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips.

There are 56 whitening strips, to be used on both the top and bottom teeth twice a day. Therefore, my trial will last for a total of 14 days.

Each day I will post a picture of my teeth BEFORE I use any products that day.

Hopefully, I will end up with much whiter teeth through all of this. If not, at least I'm proving that the products do not work.
